Our list starts with an item that is seemingly indistrucatble. Honey, with it’s lack of water or hydrogen peroxide allows the delicious treat to potentially last forever! That’s right, honey will never spoil. Maybe those bees have some magical powers or maybe it comes down to the fact that honey is made up mostly of sugar. Mo mater how you slice it, honey is something you don’t have to keep in your fridge.

    Believe it or not, butter! I’ve been keeping my covered butter dish in a cabinet for the past 50 years and it’s always soft and spreadable. Now all my friends are doing the same.

    Obviously the person who wrote this has never lived in 40-45 degrees Celsius temperatures where tomatoes and many other fruits rot in a few days and oranges and the like come to the supermarket after being in cold storage for up to two years.

    In our temperate climate in Europe,I never put cheese or butter in the fridge, in fact I’m looking for a teeny tiny fridge because the only thing I consistently keep in the fridge is milk.

    This is interesting but I could do without your comments on how fast your household goes through food, as though this is the best thing in the world. Your comment about bread is especially out of line. To some of us, bread and peanut butter are essentially poison.
