A Bdelloidea

I’ve never hear if these before either. A bdelloidea is a type of freshwater zoo plankton. Such a cute little fella. There are over 450 described species of bdelloids, which can be distinguished from each other based on their morphology.

Bdelloid rotifers are microscopic organisms and are usually 150 to 700 micro meters in length (that’s 0.000015-0.000075 m, so very very small), slightly too small to be seen with the naked eye. Bdelloids can be seen with a weak magnifying lens, appearing as tiny white dots.
